File:Torusknot rotating 640x480.gif
A Torus Knot rotating.
The upward motion apparent of the GIF animation is illusory, as the knot only rotates on the torus axis through the hole. When the direction of rotation of the torus knot is reversed (not shown), then the apparent upward motion reverses to a downward illusion.
This animation is made from a sequence of images made with POVRay ray-tracing application by DonEMitchell.
This is not a Golden Orthogonal Torus Knot animation, but is rather made as an artistic illustration that looked pretty to me.
I 'think' this is one torus knot but the knot ratio is unknown. Can you count the number of loops cut in a cross-section of the torus ring, and the number of loops passing through the hole? Those two counts serve as parameters that set the knot ratio.
