Space-time has a reluctance to a spinning mass, such that a vortex-effect is formed around the spin. This is the reason stars form spiral arms from the spinning, central singularity, or black hole, (or black torus, or some galactic class massive star,) thought to occupy spiral galaxy centers.

“ a microscopic, nonconserving change in the speed of a satellite as it flies by Earth. The slight change in kinetic energy may be increasing or decreasing, as if Earth’s rotation were being weakly added to the velocity of the satellite. Up to an altitude of 2000 km, an empirical fit of the data depends on a constant of proportionality equal to twice the product of Earth’s radius and angular velocity divided by the speed of light. What jumps immediately to mind is frame drag—the idea, according to general relativity, that spacetime in the vicinity of a rotating mass will be dragged around as the mass spins. Yet this point is absent from several proposed and seemingly far-fetched explanations.”

"The accuracy of the GP-B experimental results has improved seventeen-fold since our preliminary results announcement at the American Physical Society annual meeting in April 2007. At that time, only the larger, geodetic effect was clearly visible in the data. Over the past two and one half years, we have made extraordinary progress in understanding, modeling and removing three Newtonian sources of error—all due to patch potentials on the gyroscope rotor and housing surfaces. The latest results, based upon treatment of 1) damped polhode motion, 2) misalignment torques and 3) roll-polhode resonance torques, now clearly show both frame-dragging and geodetic precession in all four gyroscopes (see figure at top right)."
